Too glam! Guest designing for Sassy & Crafty

Welcome back to another guest designing opportunity for Sassy and Crafty! This post is dedicated to the other glam girl that is part of the Own it stamp set.

Here is what I did:

The A2 background is the result of a marathon gelli press printing evening. I used a few acrylic paints and various stencils to get the variations seen on the background. I cut out a triangle on the bottom right corner as big as the girl, and then set it aside.

I stamped the girl with Gina K designs Black Amalgam ink with a Misti. Remember to keep the stamp in the Misti to re-stamp with a darker ink in the end.

Coloring the girl is similar to last week’s:
Skin E4, E11, E000
Hair: E09, E07, E79
Shirt: BG13
Background: BG000
I used Gold Wink of Stella for handles of the makeup brushes.

Sentiment: Sunny Stamps Studio flag banner, adhere foam tape underneath for dimension.
Ink: Altenew Black Obsidian pigment ink.

Finish the card by re-stamping the girl with Altenew Obsidian ink and aligning the colorful background over her. Glue the two pieces together. Cut off the excess paper, adhere to a 4.25 x 5.5 top folding card and position the sentiment on the card.

I hope you like this glam girl and will support Amy and Beth over at Sassy & Crafty! Go Small!!

Happy day!

Using our favorite boxer for this project available at Simon Says Stamp and at The Rabbit Hole Designs stores.

These are clear designer toner sheets. You get 4x A2 sheets in each pack and can be cut accordingly. This is similar to acetate, but already with an image printed on.

To color the toner sheet, choose a Deco foil transfer sheet color that will match your project. I used Emerald watercolor today. Links are on the images.

Here is how I made this Boxer shake:
**Switch on your laminator!***
1. Stamp, cut and color Boxer. I used Copics to color.
2. Stamp and cut the sentiment.
3. Use a frame die to make the actual shaker part.

4. Cut the clear designer sheet to 4 x 5.25. You can also use a stitched die.
5. Cut a piece of transfer sheet big enough to cover the clear designer sheet.
6. Following the instructions on the packaging, feed the sheet and toner sheet through a hot laminator. The “black” picks up the green and all the shine!
7. Adhere the frame to the designer sheet on top.
8. Apply foam tape underneath the sheet and frame. The frame hides the foam tape.
9. This is a top folding 4.25 x 5.5 card. Place sequins/shakers on top of the card and finish the shaker.
10. Apply the dog and sentiment, and you are done in 10 steps!

Hope you liked my card and all the elements I used from Therm-O-Web. These Clear Designer Toner Sheets are amazing and very easy to work with. I hope you will give it a try!

You’re not alone.

My Favorite Things recently came out with this sweet swinging girl with a little bunny watching her swing her worries away.

Sometimes we need to be reminded we are not alone. Maybe we can make others feel better by showing them some love and in return, we also can reap benefit from being kind to others. Totally stole that from the show “After Life”. Hope you like her!

Cute little new stamp set. I also purchased the matching dies.
Alcohol ink creation. Usually I don’t plan a scene, but I wanted a “sun” in the background. I used Yupo paper.
This is also a new MFT die set. This is to make your images swing on a pendulum, make an actually swing or use the triangle to attach two pieces and make it swing. Like I did for this card.
This die can be used as tree coverage or clouds in the sky. I cut two different color card stock pieces and attached to each other.
I have had this woodsy die for a while and did not label from where I bought this.
This card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 top folding. The little flowers are from Hobby Lobby, I think!!!

Have a great Monday!!
